BigKeys LX large key keyboard has a simplified layout with 1" square keys. There are 10 different versions of the BigKeys LX keyboard, suitable for early learners, users with visual impairment, and those with limited mobility, as each variation comes with a different large print keyboard layout.
The simple layout of the BigKeys LX has 2.5cm square keys with lettering 10 times larger than standard. This makes them easy to see, find, read, and press.
 
Rugged and dependable BigKeys LX is the same size as a standard keyboard and offers more advanced computer users a full range of keys for writing letters, e-mail, spreadsheets and other text entry.
 
The variety of BigKeys LX key options, enables you to find the perfect solution. BigKeys LX includes all function keys F1 - F12 making it especially suitable for use with literacy software. Choose from QWERTY or ABC layout; lower or upper case letters, black lettering on white keys, or black lettering on assorted brightly coloured keys.

    I recommend BigKeys LX for a child nearly every other day. It is brilliant for children with low vision and those with limited motor skill find the large keys invaluable.

    I work with a child who has a visual impairment and his life has been transformed by this keyboard. I used to have to type or write dwon what he wanted to say, but now he has the large keys and the large letters he can type himself. He still has to look carefully at each letter before he presses it, but the difference it has made to his self confidence has been wonderful. He uses his BigKeys to type and Braille to read.

    I use a white Qwerty LX at work. Need the plastic glove as the keys are noisy; also the glove makes the key surface more textured. Use is mainly because I don't have to peer at small characters as on a conventional sized keyboard; only need 1 pair of glasses for PC work. LEDs would be useful for Caps Lock on etc. Otherwise a very worthwhile peripheral. :)
