10 reasons to upgrade to EasyConverter 4

EasyConverter is a simple to use altformat creation tool meeting the needs of dyslexic, visually impaired and learning disabled computer users.

10 reasons to upgrade

1. Input Picture Files
EasyConverter version 4 can now input one or several image files including JPEG, BMP and TIFF formats. This improvement is ideal for organisations that have previously scanned books but saved them as image files. If several images are selected, typically various pages scanned from a book, a separate dialog is displayed that enables you to preview and sort the images into the correct sequence.

2. KES input
EasyConverter now opens and imports Kurzweil (.KES) project files created by Kurzweil 3000 version 8 or later. This newly supported input format is ideal for educational establishments who may have a history of scanning materials using Kurzweil, but now are looking to output to a wide range of alternative formats for a broader range of reading needs.

3. Daisy 3 output
EasyConverter now allows users to create the very latest DAISY 3 books according to the Daisy 3 standard (ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2005) to be exact!

4. Respect Blank Lines in Braille
EasyConverter version 4 now includes a new option to respect blank lines. Without this option, line breaks are ignored and EasyConverter attempts to work out the document structure itself. In some documents the line breaks are important, in poetry for example.

5. Six key Braille input
Users who prefer to edit their Braille file using six key Braille input are now able to do so directly inside EasyConverter’s Braille previewer. Simply use the F, D, S, J, K and L keys as the six Braille dots.

6. New Braille Tables
New style profiles for Welsh, Dutch and Greek Braille are now included.

7. Bulleted Lists
New UK and US Braille tables have been added that display bulleted lists.

8. Scanning now 35% Faster!
Scanning multiple pages through an automatic paper feeder is now at least 35% faster.

9. Clearer Progress Information
EasyConverter now provides more information about the current stage and the progress of your conversion from PDFs, images or scanned documents.

10. Non-English Documents
Increased performance for non-English PDFs, images, scanned documents and Kurzweil (.KES) project files.
