Keytools support Digital Inclusion
In association with the National Blind Children's Society and attended by Optelec, we were pleased to welcome visually impaired and blind children and their families.
Also keen to be involved were local MPs, Alan Whitehead and Sandra Gidley.
As well being able to test Keytools' amazing technologies, attendees were offered expert advice from The National Blind Children's Society who provide support to the 24,000 children in the UK who are blind or partially sighted. Celebrating their 15th birthday this year, the charity is delighted that the event is helping partially sighted and blind children towards a brighter future.
Keytools’ Education Officer, Paul Goddard said “Many families simply aren’t aware of the technology available which could change their children’s life completely. Partially sighted and blind children feel a real difference by trying our equipment.
We feel positive that events like this are a big step towards Digital Inclusion for everyone.”
Keytools have been offering pioneering technology to provide Digital Inclusion for 20 years. Children and their families who were unable to attend the event should call 023 8029 4502. Our experts can advise you.
Keytools are holding a further Digital Inclusion event for Silver Surfers on 21st May, helping older people get online.
